Muddle and Match books are one of Usborne’s best selling series. As of fall 2018, there are nine titles available for young readers (or listeners). My girls are currently loving Muddle and Match: Jobs. My nine year old pulls it out to read to my six year old and the giggles sometimes get out of hand.
These mix and match books engage the reader in multiple ways. The poems on each page are full of alliteration which allows readers to practice their letter sounds. Young ones listen to the repetition of the sounds as you read to them. Kids can play with the page flaps to mix up the people’s jobs to create silly new characters and stories – a choose your own adventure for even the littlest readers.
